Promotion of Organic Farming among farmers

7.1. Society for Social Ventures (SSV) promoted Organic Farming in two days training program organized by District Horticulture Officer under Scheme of District Industrial Mission 2012-2013

Aim: To Produce healthy crop with minimum expense, minimum use of costly chemical pesticides , earn optimum profit and improve the fertility of soil which in turn improves health of living beings

Year: 3rd & 4th December 2012

Place: District Horticulture Officer, Circuit House Meerut

Farmers Targeted: 100 farmers from Kharkhauda, Hastinapur, Sardhana ,Machhra, Rasoolpur, Parikshitgarh, Daurala, Meerut, Mawana, Rasoolpur, Rohta, Janikhurd, Rajpura

Outcome: Sunita Goel, Chief Functionary SSV, shared her experiences of farmers of eastern, central UP with the farmers of western UP and oriented them towards organic farming as a “natural and sustainable farming”.
