2.3.Vocational Skill Transfer Program
Society for Social Ventures in partnership with Impact for Peace, Hongkong organized Vocational Skill Transfer Program aimed at uplifting the living standard of the underprivileged families and enhancing their chance of upward social mobility through job skills training ,mainly, focused on skill development of women of impoverished areas.
Vocational Skill Transfer Programs Organised:
- Leather Mobile Cover Making & Decorating Manually
- Manual Making Of Bracelet With Various Colourful Threads
Year: 13th June to 3rd July 2013
Place: Slum located on side of CCS University road comprising of nomadic Gehare community producing grinding wares from stones and Rajput Lohar community producing kitchen utensil from iron
No of the Candidates: 50 women and teenager girls above 15 yrs
Resource Personnel: Sunita Goel Chief Functionary SSV along with Volunteers from Slums-Dharmveer,Narendra & Lal Singh,Dr Sean Yuen,Co-founder of the Impact For Peace (I4P), Hongkong,9 Students Trainers from Hongkong University studying Chinese Medicine,Law,Pharmacy, namely, Karen lau, Queenie Ng,Peter Leung,Wicky Wong, Samuel Sy, Kitty Lam,Jane Hui, Elvis Chu, Kelly Lo.

- Orientation Meeting at Office of Society For Social Ventures, C14,Shastri Nagar ,Meerut
- Exposure Visit to 4-5 Slum Sites including Hazipur Slum lying across Hapur Road near Meerut Partapur by pass, comprising of Muslim community migrated from Assam

- Exposure Visit to Two Slum Sites lying across Gard Road ,Meerut near Rangoli Mandap comprising of nomadic communities- Gehare,Nut,Sapere (Snake Charmer) migrated from various parts of India.
Exposure Visit of Dr Sean Yuen & Sunita Goel at Slum sitated near Rangoli Mandap at Garh Road Meerut to study the future prospect of Skill Trasnfer Training & education program

Identification of the Candidates for vocational Skill Transfer program by volunteers Lal Singh, Narendra,Dharamveer & Sunita Goel by visiting Slums located at and around Garh Road. 50 women & teenagers were identified.

9 Students Trainers from Hongkong University, Karen lau, Queenie Ng,Peter Leung,Wicky Wong, Samuel Sy, Kitty Lam,Jane Hui, Elvis Chu Kelly Lo to interacting with Sunita Goel, Chief Functionary SSV, in the office Society For Social Ventures at C-14 Shastri Nagar, Meerut.
- Lessons on Mobile Cover Making By Resource Personnel and Hindi translation by Sunita Goel (Chief Functionary SSV)
Practical lessons on Making of Mobile Cover & Decoration, firstly, on Paper, later Cutting, Stiching & Decorating on Leather Manually

50 Mobile Covers are made with Leather & decorated by Participants
Mobile Covers were Purchased by Resource Personnel from Hongkong University @ 100/- per Mobile Cover for Display at campus of Hongkong University
- Making of Bracelets with Various Colourfull Threads
50 Bracelets prepared by participants were purchased by Resourse personnel from Hongkong University @100/each to exhibit at University Campus as a sign of completion of vocational skill transfer transfer program
