2.3.Vocational Skill Transfer Program

Society for Social Ventures in partnership with Impact for Peace, Hongkong organized Vocational Skill Transfer Program aimed at uplifting the living standard of the underprivileged families and enhancing their chance of upward social mobility through job skills training ,mainly, focused on skill development of women of impoverished areas.

Vocational Skill Transfer Programs Organised:

  • Leather Mobile Cover Making & Decorating Manually
  • Manual Making Of Bracelet With Various Colourful Threads

Year: 13th June to 3rd July 2013

Place: Slum located on side of CCS University road comprising of nomadic Gehare community producing grinding wares from stones and Rajput Lohar community producing kitchen utensil from iron

No of the Candidates: 50 women and teenager girls above 15 yrs

Resource Personnel: Sunita Goel Chief Functionary SSV along with Volunteers from Slums-Dharmveer,Narendra & Lal Singh,Dr Sean Yuen,Co-founder of the Impact For Peace (I4P), Hongkong,9 Students Trainers from Hongkong University studying Chinese Medicine,Law,Pharmacy, namely,  Karen lau, Queenie Ng,Peter Leung,Wicky Wong, Samuel Sy, Kitty Lam,Jane Hui, Elvis Chu, Kelly Lo.
